Subject: Launch of YABA 2026 – Key Dates

Dear Colleagues,

FONASBA is delighted to announce the launch of the Young Agents and Brokers Award (YABA) 2026. As in previous years, this award seeks to encourage research, innovation, and professional excellence among young professionals in ship agency and shipbroking.

Please note that the eligibility criteria for YABA 2026 have been updated slightly compared with previous editions. The detailed criteria is attached for your reference.

This year, submissions should focus on a range of specified themes considered particularly relevant to the sector. In addition, the prizes have been slightly enhanced. Detailed criteria are attached for your reference.

We would greatly appreciate your support in disseminating this information within your networks, ensuring that eligible young professionals are aware of this opportunity.

Key Dates for YABA 2026:

•           23 February 2026 – Deadline for submission of abstracts/summary papers

•           9 March 2026 – Notification of shortlisted candidates

•           1 June 2026 – Submission of final papers

•           27 July 2026 – Announcement of winners
