Dear All,
Our colleagues at the Alexandria Chamber of Shipping have provided us with information relating to the introduction on 1st July of the new Advance Customs Information System, ACI, copy attached. This is an electronic customs report system for importers.
It appears that both importers and cargo owners can reate an electronic
account for the purposes of making import declarations under the new systems,
details of how to do so are provided in the attachment. Presumably, your
members trading with Egypt will already be aware of this new system but for the
sake of good order it would be worthwhile passing it on.
